Who are you, and what is your role?
So, my name is Giles! I’m not sure what my role is, I should probably have paid closer attention to my contract. Recruiter, or consultant, or trainee recruiter or something along those lines. Can you tell I’m new to Recruitment?
What attracted you to Innova?
There was a lot that attracted me to Innova! Being part of a small and growing business is exciting to me. I also happen to quite like the logo and orange is my favourite colour, so it was a strong start. Above everything else, I go off my gut, and it just felt like a great match from the start of the interview process.
Tell us something interesting about yourself.
I always have a pair of pliers with me.
What’s your favourite way to spend a day off?
I like to make things, at the moment I’m experimenting with making bread, and Thai curry. Not at the same time though. I spend way too much time trying to figure out how things work. I’m currently watching a lot of Adam Ragussea videos on YouTube. I also enjoy doing woodworking and general making things, my latest project was stripping and rebuilding an original Anglepoise lamp, and painting it yellow.
What three fictional characters would you say describe you?
MacGyver. I have an uncanny ability to take things apart and use them to solve problems. I’ll add though, I’ve never actually seen MacGyver, I just learned about it from watching Mythbusters – which leads me to number two (this one is non-fictional). Adam Savage – mythbusters and an incredible maker of things. Finally, Virgil Tracey – yes, from Thunderbirds. Still one of my favourite ever TV shows, and Thunderbird 2 is obviously the best (plus I do quite like helping people).
