Senior Consultant. Leading the Data function on a permanent basis with a focus on London based clients.
Who are you, and what is your role?
I'm Jack Singer. Originally from Aberdeen, but lucky enough to have lived in a few places over my life. I'm a Senior Consultant here and I lead our Data function on a permanent basis with a focus on our London based clients.
What attracted you to Innova?
My attraction started after my first meeting with our founders Dan and Lee. I was not only impressed with their knowledge of their industry and market but their personalities. The way they approach work, but more importantly people was in line with myself and was excited to work alongside them and learn from them on a daily basis.
What is the most valuable career advice you’ve been given?
There are so many small pieces of advice I have been given over the years and it is the combination of them all that makes me the consultant I am today. The one thing that always sticks with me and I try and adhere to is: people work with people! It is easy to be too focused on being professional or being very technical. People like to work with people they like. So, I always try and make all my interactions with candidates and clients enjoyable, even in the difficult conversations. In summary, just be yourself!
Tell us something interesting about yourself.
Apart from my passion for old man sports like snooker and darts (which most people won't find interesting). More interesting is I am a keen skier and currently working towards the Haute Route - a 7-day ski tour across the Alps from Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn.
Who's your ideal dinner guest?
I could not choose one! So, I will give you my ideal dinner party: Billy Connolly, Bob Marley, Ricky Gervais, Sir Alex Ferguson, Stephen Fry, Brian Cox (I could go on). If anyone out there know any of these people personally and would like to set up a dinner, I would be happy to pay!
